Wuhan. Umbria GALA Tasting!

Once a month, 10 times a year we invite you to a “Gala Tasting”. Guests don’t need to wear a tie and jacket, but they should expect something extraordinary. It is neither a lunch nor a dinner, but you won’t need either one when you participate in the Gala tasting. We will always hold it on Sundays and always at 3 pm. The venue is Villa Orfei, our beautiful residence, within the city centre, but also outside the city centre. In spring or autumn we might use the space in the garden or on the terraces to serve our guests; in summer and winter you will appreciate the heat pump-based climate system through the floor.

Food is fusion “Wuhan-Umbria”, but also presentation does not follow the rules. It is not a traditional meal (antipasto, primo, secondo, dolce), it is not a Chinese banquet with its overwhelming plentitude of different dishes (but we might want to do this sometimes) and it is not a tasting menu as offered by the star restaurants (where there are too many servings mignon sized). We want you to appreciate a dish and the pairing with the wine. The combination will be eclectic and every dish stands on its own. So take your time, this is not fast food.

The participation costs €50, the price of an ordinary restaurant meal. And we guarantee the quality. We serve our guests only what we serve ourselves.
